Participants in the virtual simulation lab will be working in groups of four. Members will have 10-12 minutes each to practice their skills in a typical scenario. The simulation will be done remotely via a video conference platform accessed through their computer. An AIR4VR team member will facilitate this activity, and an AIR4VR instructor will provide immediate feedback upon each participant's session's completion.
To help you understand the process, we have inserted a video excerpt from a Virtual Simulation session. To watch the video, click directly on the video below. For participants with visual impairments, the content of the video is described below: The following is a video clip featuring Dr. Olivia Uwamahoro, a black, female engaging with five students with disabilities represented by avatars in a classroom setting. The students seated from left to right are: Savannah a white female who lives with an intellectual disability, Dev a black male who lives with diabetes, Nate a white male who lives with Asperger's, Jasmine a Hispanic female who lives with ADHD, and Ethan a white male who lives with learning disabilities. |
