In an intentional group environment, the group becomes a dynamic practice field for youth to acquire knowledge, adopt positive attributes, and develop the skills they'll need to achieve success and satisfaction in life. In a nutshell:

Group work helps youth to cope better personally and function better socially.

A skilled counselor can guide the introspection and interactions that help youth answer essential life questions. Simple questions become the counselor's primary tool. In each of the following sections—Personal Development, Interpersonal Development, and Career Development—we have listed key questions to be answered by youth in a group session. Answering the questions in each area will help them achieve clarity and confidence, propelling them toward success.

As you read the questions, think back on your own evolution to adulthood and recall the discoveries, challenges, turning points, and epiphanies that helped you answer the questions for yourself.
