| Lisa phoned today to report that Erika added frozen foods to Savannah's stocking duties. Lisa provided coaching to help Savannah learn the new routine, which requires a bit more speed given the nature of products. Lisa was able to fade out pretty quickly. Problem: Today, she received a call from Erika stating that Savannah was having some trouble. Erika explained that the store added a new line of ice cream products. That threw off Savannah's routine. Also, Erika says that Savannah concentrates so hard when she's working that she'll fail to notice when her cart is in a customer's way. She mentioned this to Savannah but would like Lisa to fine-tune Savannah's understanding. Solution: Lisa phoned Savannah to let her know she'd be back in to help her with the new line. Savannah balked. She is enjoying her independence and wants to work it out on her own. Since Lisa and Savannah both have iPhones, Lisa asked Savannah if they could meet via facetime on the iPhone for once daily check-ins and quality checks for the next week. Savannah agreed. Lisa will use her facetime with Savannah to talk about being mindful of where her cart is and what to say to a customer. Lisa proposed a simple script. She and Savannah roll played so that Savannah could practice the script: "Hello! Let me move my cart for you." |
